What is pescetarianism?

Etymologically pescetarian is a new word (about 1993) meaning a vegetarian who eats fish. Pescetarians eat vegetables, fruits, nuts, legumes, eggs, dairy, and anything from the sea. Pescetarians do not eat chicken, beef, pork, etc meat.

You can read my reasons for identifying as a pescetarian right here in my first blogpost.

I came across this visualization for the understanding of what fish is safe to eat. Oh information is beautiful.

Winnie at Healthy Greek Kitchen put together this post which is a great reference to all the things you ought to keep in mind when consuming fish/seafood regularly.
